Einstein Museum in Princeton
Last Sunday was my last weekend day in Princeton because I’ll be in Toronto over the Memorial Day weekend. Thus I had to celebrate something like a farewell from here, a place where I have spent a total of six months now.

Albert Einstein lived in Princeton from 1933 when he had to flee from the Nazi regime in Germany until his death in 1955.

It might sound like a joke, but to my knowledge this is the only Einstein museum in Princeton. An guess what? It’s located in a clothes shop! Apart from some Einstein t-shirts, you mainly get hats and Princeton University memorabilia there.

I came across pictures of the wall in your Einstein museum, they were not in a very good resolution, but i did recognize a picture of Albert Einstein with two people, a man and a woman, standing in front of a telescope. the writing on the wall asked for information, so there it is: the picture was taken in Israel and I believe the man is the maker of the telescope which was given to Einstein as a gift. Today the telescope resides at the Hebrew university in Jerusalem here is a link to pictures of it:

The telescope was restored. for more information on the telescope and on the picture and the people in it you can contact Mr. Harel Ben-Ami at: harelbenami@gmail.com he is the head of the space science department in the ‘Youth Center for Advance Studies’ in the Hebrew University and I am sure he will be more then happy to answer any questions you may have.
